Introduction to College - CEP 121

AKA: The Two-Week Course

At Nevada State High School, our mission is to successfully transition students  personally, academically, and socially into the college environment. We want them to not only be exposed to the college atmosphere, but to excel in it. Before beginning the school year with us, students are required to take a mandatory Introduction to College course, also known as the Two-Week course that occurs two-weeks before college classes start. This course is a graded course that counts for 1/2 a high school elective credit for the first semester with us.

During this course, students get the chance to meet and interact with the new students attending the school, learn how to collaborate with college professors and write college papers, research how to pick a college major and career, team-building, and much more.
